This private, luxury, botanical paradise property, is a 5 minute walk to the lake park, and boat ramp, where you can fish for the huge Guapote or Rainbow Bass, take a boat, or kayak, windsurf, or simply lay back and enjoy the monkeys, parrots and toucans. The lake is clean, virtually unused, yet amidst the wild tropical rain forest/highlands of central Costa Rica. The house is popular for everyone from couples, to family reunions of 10 persons, until the lucky person who buys it, will take up residence in this 3800+ sq. ft., one of a kind property.

The central location makes it a 20 mile trip to The Arenal Volcano, Tabocon Hot Springs, The Hanging Bridges (walk through primary rain forrest), and the new Canopy Tram. You can also take a boat across the lake to the south side, where a van will take you to Monteverde Cloud Forrest. The location is important in renting your home or villa, as some are on the Tronadora/ Tilaran side, which would add another hour to these must see locations. The Pacific beaches are about 2 hours away.

The Spanish Colonial house sits atop a hill offering privacy and spectacular views of the lake, and Arenal Volcano. The grounds are loaded with beautiful, botanical specimens, and immaculately groomed. Grocery stores, banks, the German Bakery, a Pizzeria, and other restaurants are minutes away. If you are a plant lover, the Arenal Botanical Gardens is a short 10 minute drive, and offers an extraordinary selection of local and international specimens. Another short excursion is to the famous bottomless Lake Coter, and Eco-Lodge. There is a canopy tour there, horseback riding, and a rain forest walk, with spectacular views of the entire lake and volcano. The venado caves make another day adventure. Cano Negro Reserve is about a 2.5 hour drive for a great birding and wildlife tours on the rivers, and lake.

The property is managed by English speaking “expats”, who live nearby and manage this and other properties, and will help you with anything you might need to know about Costa Rica, and planning your trip. They can arrange tours for you, or perhaps an in house maid and cook if you desire.

Amenities: The kitchen/living area has a fully equipped kitchen, with faux marble tile throughout, and a gas range and refrigerator, with all accessories you would expect at home.

The living room has a large sectional couch and other furniture, TV, and ceiling fans are placed throughout the house, but it is always cool in Arenal!

There is a large bedroom downstairs, with it’s own spacious, tiled bathroom. The beautifully, hand crafted tropical wood stairway leads upstairs to the huge master bedroom, and the 3rd bedroom, and of course another spacious bathroom. There are 2 queen beds in the Master, one queen in the other upstairs bedroom, another queen, and 2 singles (bunk bed), in the downstairs bedroom.

There is a double garage, a washer/dryer, telephone, internet cafe up the street, and of course the outdoor, covered jacuzzi to relax in after a day of exploring this pristine area of Costa Rica.
