The town’s cobblestone streets, red-tiled roofs, whitewashed buildings, numerous restaurants, and views of the volcanoes make it a picturesque attraction to many travelers. Mariachi bands stroll through the sidewalk cafes that face the pretty central plaza. Comala gives you all the peace and quiet of small town living, while being just 15 minutes from the capital city of Colima, with its shopping malls, movie theatres, department stores, hospitals, Sam’s, Home Depot, etc.  It is truly the best of both worlds! The state of Colima has 150 kilometers of beaches, some only an hour away from Comala, and rarely crowded or noisy. The popular beach resort of Manzanillo, including its international airport, is 1½ hours away. Guadalajara, with another international airport option, is 2½ hours away.
