The land use plan developed for the hotel was designed to allow for the gradual growth of the resort to an ultimate size of 40 rooms. The Hotel is 12 years old, and completed the fifth phase of construction in 2006.
Construction originally began in August of 1998, which saw the building of the first 5 rooms named Playa Pelada Suites, restaurant ranchita and bar, bar pool, commercial kitchen, and small clothing, gift and surf supply store as Phase 1.
The build continued with Phase 2 which began in July of 1999, and was of an additional 5 rooms called Playa Nosara Rooms and Playa Guiones Suites. The first 3 of these rooms, the Playa Nosara Rooms opened on January 1, 2000 and the 2 Playa Guiones Suites on March 1, 2000. The second construction phase when completed doubled the total number of rooms and suites available from 5 to 10 and diversified the room types, available amenities and individual room capacities. Phase 3 consisted of an additional 6 Playa Nosara Rooms constructed between August and December of 2001, bringing the total number of units to 16
Phase 4 brought the construction of the Reception Area, Retail Store and Real Estate Office and Laundry. Construction began in August of 2002 and the additions opened in January 2003. Phase 5 entailed the construction of Surf City Section, which started in July of 2005 and opened in July 2006. The Surf City addition included 2 top floor 3 bedroom apartments and 4 very large hotel rooms bringing the total number of rooms to 22. This Phase also included the hotel's second swimming pool. There is a gift shop where you can choose from a variety of gifts, cards...shirts... there are also drinks, snacks, toiletries and much more.
The Hotel consists of 4 standard rooms.
1. Nosara Room : This room consists of 1 Matrimonial or Queen Bed and bathroom with A/C, mini fridge, or the option of 1 Matrimonial bed and a bunk bed depending on the room style you would prefer.
2. The Pelada Suite consists of 2 rooms. The Front room with mini refrigerator, satellite TV, coffee maker, sink & large mirror with 2 twins or bunk bed set. The Master bedroom consists of 1 large Matrimonial bed with nightstands and A/C and private access to bathroom. The Pelada Suite also provides a private balcony with views of the pool and jungle.
3. The Guiones Suite consists of a comfortable sitting room and Satellite TV, Kitchen, coffee maker and 1 bunk bed to accommodate larger parties. The master bedroom consists of a large queen bed and nightstands with A/C and private access to Bathroom. There is a large Private patio with sitting table and room for surf boards or beach gear.
4. The Surf City Suite is a 2 bedroom 2 bath with loft and wrap around patio with Pool and Gardens View. In the Surf City suite you will find all the luxuries of a beach Resort in Costa Rica. Fully equipped Kitchen, coffee maker, Satellite TV, 8 Person Local wood Rustic Dining Table with view of pool and grounds. The Surf City Room consists of 2 large queen beds, Satellite TV, mini fridge, coffee maker, Wall to wall mirror above sink and separated bathroom.
The hotel has a housing capacity of 92 guests, rooms can sleep up to (6) six people each, the Dining Room has a Normal Seating capacity of 65 persons, maximum is 100, while the Bar & Bar Tables can seat 20 persons - at any given time.
It also provides free wireless internet to all guests and maid services daily. The lush jungle gardens provide all rooms with privacy and a true jungle atmosphere. There is more to do... enjoy fishing, diving, horseback riding, sunsets... the waterfalls!
