Savusavu is like New Zealand in the 60s. The friendliest happiest people on Earth, small population, crime virtually unheard of and largely undiscovered by the western world. Whatever goes on in Suva or that you hear about on TV never quite gets to this delightful backwater.

Our house is a brand new four bedroom house on a quarter acre rural section. It was completed last month. It comes with brand new furniture and linen comprising beds and bedding for eight plus a new lounge suite, quality stereo and a fully equipped kitchen with F&P Dishwasher, Fridge, Gas Oven and hob. Also included are all kitchen appliances, crockery etc etc - it's fully complete. There's a main bathroom and ensuite plus a laundry and F&P washing machine. A massive deck surrounds two sides of the house. There are glimpses of the sea through the coconut palms and the delightful trade breezes.

Our house is set one back from the beach /lagoon which can be swum in at half tide and above. We have a local lady who keeps an eye on the house every day when we're not there and does the cleaning, gardening and absolutely anything else that needs doing.
The title is a Fee simple one for freehold land. It's normally a long winded process for foreign residents to purchase homes in Fiji with various government consents required and long winded processes. We however have placed the ownership of this property in a New Zealand company so all that's necessary to settle in this case is to transfer the ownership of the shares in the company. A huge plus from a prospective purchaser's viewpoint.
The price for the fully furnished home is NZ$400,000 (US$268,000). The waterfront property on the other side of the road we understand is worth around NZ$1,000,000. (US$670,000).
