This property is located in Perez Zeledon, 14KM north of San Isidro El General, in The Talamanca Mountains, on the Pan-American Highway, CA2. The altitude is 1650 metres or approximately 6,000 feet. The access road is right off the highway, partially cemented, well maintained. No need of a 4x4. The sign at the entrance reads: BOSQUE DEL TOLOMUCO.
It is presently a "PRIVATE" Wildlife Reserve and Conservation Property, however"NOT" restricted for development. It has 110 acres. Half the acreage is rain forest with different species of mammals and birds. The forest has 4KM of well, maintained hiking trails. The other half has a lot of open areas for lots. This property has a great potential for a gated community for the environmentalist or people that just like to live in nature. The upper region has a clear view of the Osa Peninsula, Isla del Cano and the Pacific. Also, a clear view of the most famous Los Crestones, the glacial rock formation of Cerro Chirripo. It is presently a Bed and Breakfast with 5 rustic cabins. All cabins have hot water and private bathrooms. One cabin is a fully equipped, housekeeping unit. The main house has private quarters for the owners. There is a dinning room in the main house for meals. We presently cook gourmet dinners.
