Better In Belize, an exclusive resort community with eco-friendliness as its central theme, is a 130-acre site being developed in the Cayo District of Belize. The Community Center we are planning will be designed to accommodate group functions for up to 125 people. Equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual technology and lighting, the Centre will be ideal for business and social gatherings (ie, weddings, reunions, banquets, AGM's, etc).

Business Centre:

For those of you who like to stay in touch with friends, family and business associates, our proposed business center will make that a breeze. We plan to provide the latest in computer hardware, communications software, and FAX. Secretarial services will also be available for those doing business in Belize. Wireless internet connection will be available so that you can connect with the rest of world from your patch of paradise

The Pool:

Emergency Service  

Belize medicine, doctors, health care and medical serivces are considered above average for Caribbean countries. A hospital is located approximately 30 minutes drive from our community. Of course, regular doctor's appointments are also available at the hospital.

As we are not located oceanside, severe weather is rarely a concern. There are no medical endemic diseases reported in Belize at this time.

The Belizean dollar is closely equivalent to the US/Canadian dollar. Currency exchange is relatively simple and available to you - we will provide you with all necessary bank locations/information to make this process as easy as possible for our residents.

While in Belize you must SEE Belize! From the amazing natural wonders to the wonderful, friendly local people. Perhaps you want to do it on a bicycle, a scooter, a motorcycle or a car. Maybe an organized tour is more to your taste. Whatever your preference, we will be there to help you make the traveling arrangements that suit you best.

What About Language?

Most Belizeans speak english. Their native tongue is most commonly Spanish/Creole.

House Details

The whole 100 acre property will consist of only 100 houses with privacy and ample space separating them. Utmost care has been taken while designing the lot size and position so that each house gets adequate sunlight and breeze. The lots are different sizes, the details of which are described below. 

 Riverside lot - 1/8 acre lot with front side of the house facing the river - 25 lots 

 River view lot - 1/8 acre lot with front side of the house facing the river - 25 lots 

 ½ acre lot on the property with house facing frontage road - 50 lots 

Pricing 

The price of all the houses are the same although the lots differ in size. The smaller lots occupy the prime riverside/river view locations.

The listed price of all the houses is $149,000. CND. Initially we are offering houses at a discounted price of $129,000 CND, however this discount is valid for the first 12 houses only and may be suspended at any time.

Payment Structure

The buyer can book a house with a down payment of $1,000. CND and $49,000.00 CND due within 10 days. The balance can be financed at an interest rate of 9.7% per annum. The buyer has the option to pay the balance at any time.

Rental Lease Options

We are offering three options (keeping in mind the future requirement of the buyer(s)). The options are:- 

 You buy a house and get a return of $79 USD on the room rent per day.

OR

 You buy a property and get a fixed 12% return from the 3rd year onwards. You can stay for 15 days per year free*. Your property will be rented out to visitors, vacationers and corporate clients.

OR

 You buy a property and you re-sell the property after 6 years at $250,000.00. You can stay for 15 days per year free*. The property will be rented by the management within those six years to individuals or for corporate events.

The above stated return of 12% will not be valid in the case of unforeseen incidents/war/natural disasters/strife or any other human/natural act that cannot be foreseen and predicted at present. 

Selling Options

The buyer of the house can sell, transfer or gift their property. The buyer must inform us and obtain a no objection certificate.

If you sell your property you must pay 10% of the sale value to the community as a development fee. This fee will be allocated towards further development of the property.

Property Management:   

The developers of this project have considerable experience in the real estate development as well as the hotel and hospitality industries. The eco-community itself is a new adventure! A Resort Management Team with some experience in eco tourism/communities will be retained by the Developers. Consultants will be recruited with an environmental background to ensure adherence to eco protocols currently available. This will promote the success, profitability and investment of all participants and will help in significant, value added benefits.

The country of Belize is experiencing phenomenal growth in the tourism and hospitality industry. The government of Belize is very aware of the importance of tourism for its economy and is developing tourism activities as well as providing a very attractive retirement package for pensioners.
