The ruins are remarkable and many artefacts still remain in all their glory as well as parts of the old city wall, temple, baths, theatre, agora and stadium.
The prices of Uzumlu properties, especially new build, are significantly lower than other parts of Turkey but have great growth potential. The attraction to Uzumlu also lies in the fact that it is relatively undeveloped as compared to Hisaronu, Ovacik and Calis (other local villages). These areas rely greatly on the tourist season and therefore they are overloaded with tourists in the summer and practically deserted in the winter. Uzumlu day-to-day life carries on regardless of the time of year and there is a real sense of community.
