The house is a post and beam wood construction with warm adobe walls adorning the first floor.  It is situated on approximately 1.5 acres of a wooded hill.

The house was completely renovated in 2005 with new plumbing, new wiring, a new roof, new glistening Saligna wood floors, new kitchen, new bathroom, all new appliances, ground improvements and more.

The house is heated with a new environmentally friendly pellet stove that has almost no smoke emission and is very cost effective.
The slim chimney never needs to be cleaned, and the pellets will be delivered to your door.

The kitchen and dining area features high vaulted ceilings, with triangular windows that allow the morning sun to shine through.

The house is fitted with fly screens throughout and with glass and wood doors constructed from native timber.  The kitchen was specially designed and constructed from native Macrocarpa wood inlaid with New Zealand Paua and stainless steel.

The kitchen is fitted with a Bosch electric oven and a Bosch gas cooking range.
The stainless steel refrigerator is made by GE.

The extended spray faucet is connected to a fine micron filter that will supply you with clean sweet drinking water.

All appliances are 2 years young and are included in the asking price (not shown but included are a Maytag clothes washer and dryer). 

The house features two sitting/ living areas. 

The first is adjacent to the kitchen/dining area.   

The second sitting/ living area is in the spacious upstairs bedroom.   

The bathroom was designed to help you relax after a long day of playing at the beach, kayaking in the harbor, or to just unwind after a long day.  It features warm wood Saligna floors and slate walls, a large porcelain bathtub, a separate high pressure shower, enclosed toilet, high end Italian fixtures, cherry wood vanity with a modern white porcelain washing bowl, a stainless steel wall heater and a large pantry.

We took a whole room and converted it into a stunning walk-in closet with custom made shelves, drawers, shoe racks, dress hanging closet and full body mirrors.  Who said you don't have to look good on your beach vacation?  Oh, yes!  We also created enough space for extra towels and beddings.

We took two small rooms and converted them into a spacious office with plenty of windows and a large deck overlooking the harbor.

Consistent with the spirit of the rest of the house, we installed Saligna wood floors.

The office has a high speed wireless broadband Internet, a dedicated fax line, a phone line, and plenty of natural light.  We created this home-office with all modern conveniences, as we conduct business from this heavenly remote location with our base in the USA.  If you have no need for a contemporary office in your home, you can easily furnish this space as an extra/ guest bedroom.

The bedroom features vaulted ceilings with large triangular windows overlooking the vast harbor and the green hills surrounding it. 

The back door leads to a large private deck overlooking the forest behind the house.


The colors of the bedroom were purposefully chosen to induce the sweetest of dreams.The kitchen's outdoor deck is north facing and gives a view of the terraced garden.

The garden features peach trees, an apple tree, tomatillo tree, guavas, a vegetable and herb garden, native trees, gardenias, jasmines, Manuka trees, majestic Totera trees, native ferns and flaxes as well as ornamentals and seasonal flowering plants.
