- This is a working farm of sorts, in as much as there is plenty to do tending to the chickens, collecting fresh farm eggs, cutting and hanging bananas to assure there are plenty for the hordes of mono-titi (endangered squirrel monkey) who visit twice daily. There are also fresh pineapple to be picked, and mangoes and avocados to be gathered.
This is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. This property could also be used to generate funds while living here, either in tourism, renting out the small cabins. There is plenty of space for animal husbandry, organic fruit and produce as well as the possibility of developing the property in several directions. Oh, and don’t forget the pool has been filled from springs on the property so you’ll never have to pay a water bill. It may be the best tasting water you have ever had. Golfito Bay is ideal for keeping a boat for fishing or perhaps just to enjoy a day on the water. Even if you don't own a boat, there are other means to enjoy our wonderful 'Sweet Gulf' (Golfo Dulce). Day charters are available for fishing, water taxis offer excellent touring opportunities, a daily Ferry departs Golfito if you wish to visit Puerto Jimenez or the Osa Peninsula, and a private ferry runs over to Zancudo where the wonderful beach stretches for miles. If you've always dreamed of living in Paradise, waking to the sounds of the jungle, picking your own fruit, and strolling through the rainforest, then "Refugio Tierra" (Earth Refuge) is for you.
